World Day Against Child Labour Rally

On June 11, Marking Anti Child Labour Day, Don Bosco Makkalalaya, in collaboration with Crescent Urdu Nursery and Higher Primary School, organized an awareness rally in Mysuru on Thursday to highlight the importance of education and child rights. Students from Crescent Urdu School, Archline Urdu School, Savarline Urdu School, Adijambava Government School, and Don Bosco Makkalalaya participated in the rally, carrying placards and raising slogans advocating for an end to child labour. The rally conveyed the message that every child deserves education, protection, and a happy childhood. The rally was inaugurated by Mohammed Sharief Rawther, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mysuru City and Senior Child Welfare Police Officer, and Ravichandra M., Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Mysuru.

A special feature of the programme was the felicitation of five students who had resumed their education and successfully secured First Class results in the SSLC and PUC examinations. They were honoured with certificates and gifts in recognition of their achievement, demonstrating how education can transform lives when children receive the right support and opportunities. The rally aimed to create greater public awareness about child rights and the need to eliminate child labour, while reinforcing the message that every child deserves a safe childhood and access to quality education.
