Parents–Teachers Conference for the 42nd Batch Skill Training Students

A Parents–Teachers Conference for the 42nd Batch Skill Training students was conducted on 17th June 2026 at Don Bosco Makkalalaya. The programme began with one-on-one interactions between the staff and parents, during which the students’ progress during the three-month course and their future plans after completion of the training were discussed.

This was followed by a common meeting where parents and students shared their experiences and reflected on their journey at Don Bosco Makkalalaya. Many students spoke about the positive changes they had experienced, especially in overcoming stage fear. They shared that they are now able to confidently stand before an audience and address a gathering with ease. Several students also mentioned that the computer skills they acquired during the course have increased their confidence and prepared them to enter the job market.

One student expressed that she had long been searching for a platform to learn and develop new skills, and that Don Bosco Makkalalaya had provided her with exactly such an opportunity. Parents too shared their observations, noting considerable improvements in their wards’ confidence, communication skills, and overall personality development.

The conference served as a meaningful platform for parents, students, and staff to celebrate the growth of the trainees and reaffirm their commitment towards building a brighter and more self-reliant future.
