The Cultural Day Celebration for the 42nd Batch Skill Training Students was conducted at Don Bosco Makkalalaya on 30th May with great enthusiasm and active participation from the students. The event was organized to encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression among the students who are preparing themselves for future employment opportunities.

A variety of competitions were conducted to showcase the talents and skills of the participants. The Rangoli Competition featured meaningful social themes such as women empowerment, child marriage, school dropout, and the impact of social media, encouraging students to creatively express awareness of important social issues. Students also participated in a Vegetable Carving Competition, demonstrating creativity, patience, and artistic ability.

The cultural segment included Solo Singing, Group Singing, Solo Dance, and Group Dance competitions, where students confidently displayed their talents and entertained the audience. A Cooking Without Fire competition encouraged innovation, teamwork, and practical life skills among the participants. One of the major highlights of the programme was the Ramp Walk Competition along with a Question Round, where students showcased confidence, communication skills, personality, and presence of mind.

The Cultural Day had a significant positive impact on the students, especially those preparing to enter the job market. It helped build self-confidence, improved communication and presentation skills, and enhanced teamwork and leadership qualities. The ramp walk and question round particularly helped students overcome stage fear and develop confidence in speaking and expressing themselves in public. Activities such as group performances strengthened cooperation and coordination among peers, while creative competitions encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving.
