Workshop on Meditation and Respectful Living

A workshop on meditation and respectful living was conducted on 6th May for the summer camp and skill training students by Savitha Kumari and her team. The session focused on the importance of respect in daily life, different types of respect, understanding personal boundaries, and the value of maintaining healthy relationships with others. Students were also introduced to meditation and its benefits for mental peace, concentration, emotional balance, and stress management.

The interactive session helped students understand the importance of self-respect and respecting others in building positive behaviour and healthy communication. The discussion on personal boundaries created awareness among adolescents about safety, dignity, and mutual understanding in relationships. Through real-life examples and activities, students actively participated and reflected on their own attitudes and behaviour.

A 20-minute guided meditation session was conducted, during which students experienced calmness, relaxation, and improved focus. Many students felt refreshed and peaceful after the activity. The workshop encouraged students to practice mindfulness, control emotions, reduce stress, and develop respectful behaviour in their personal and social lives. Overall, the session had a positive impact on the students by promoting emotional wellbeing, self-discipline, and respectful living.
