Workshop on Conflict Management

A workshop on Conflict Management was conducted for the 43rd Batch Skill Training students to help them develop the skills needed to handle conflicts effectively in their personal and professional lives. The session was facilitated by Sr. Jenifer Pinto UFS, who introduced the students to the meaning and nature of conflict and discussed different types of conflicts that can arise in everyday situations and workplaces. She also explained the role of emotions in conflict and guided the students on healthy ways to understand, regulate and manage their emotions. Through the session, students were encouraged to approach disagreements with patience, understanding and effective communication.

The workshop helped students recognise that conflicts are a natural part of the workplace and that responding to them constructively is an important professional skill. As the students prepare to enter employment, the session equipped them with greater awareness of their emotions and practical approaches to managing disagreements with colleagues, supervisors and others. It also encouraged them to develop patience, communication, empathy and problem-solving skills, enabling them to contribute to a healthier and more cooperative work environment.
