Don Bosco Makkalalaya had the privilege of hosting Mr. VST Krishna from the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) as a resource person for a seminar on life skills for 42nd batch Skill Training students, Summer Camp students and MSW students from KR Nagar College and Manasagangothri, University of Mysore. The session aimed at guiding students towards personal growth, responsible thinking, and social commitment.

Mr. Krishna emphasized the importance of developing a supportive attitude towards NGOs and encouraged students to cultivate the habit of contributing to meaningful social causes. He expressed his hope that students would not only make promises of support but also translate them into action.
A key highlight of the session was the discussion on thinking as a learned behaviour. Students were given insights into how thought patterns are shaped over time and how transforming them requires conscious personal effort.
The session also focused on the importance of unlearning outdated and limiting beliefs.
An interesting activity involved the use of a large number sequence to demonstrate how success is achieved through persistence, focus, and the determination to continue despite challenges and failures. This exercise reinforced the idea that perseverance plays a crucial role in achieving one’s goals.
Overall, the seminar provided students with meaningful insights into self-development, resilience, and social responsibility, encouraging them to become more mindful and proactive individuals.
