Inauguration of Skill Training 39th batch, Summer Camp 2025 and Send Off programme of SSLC 2024-25 batch

On the 12th April, Don Bosco Makkalalaya hosted a vibrant and meaningful programme to mark the inauguration of the 39th batch of skill training, the commencement of Summer Camp 2025, and the farewell for the SSLC 2024–25 batch.

The event began with a soulful prayer song by our staff members, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by our esteemed guests and dignitaries. A graceful lamp procession by the SSLC students added a special touch to the beginning of the programme.

Fr. Siju Thomas SDB, Executive Director of Don Bosco Makkalalaya, delivered the welcome address. In his speech, he shared three golden rules for success: delaying gratification, learning to say no, and avoiding procrastination. He wished the SSLC students the very best for their upcoming exams and encouraged the skill training and summer camp participants to take full advantage of the opportunities available to them.

The chief guest for the event, Mr. Ravichandra, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), inspired the gathering with his motivational speech. Addressing the SSLC students, he emphasized the importance of education and wished them success in their exams. Speaking to the skill training and summer camp participants, he highlighted the value of developing essential skills such as public speaking and the arts. Drawing inspiration from the lives of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he encouraged the students to be lifelong learners and aim high.

Mr. Ravichandra also distributed hall tickets to the SSLC students and ID cards to the skill training and summer camp participants.

The celebration continued with vibrant cultural performances by the students, including singing and dance. Two SSLC student representatives also shared heartfelt reflections on their learning journey at Don Bosco Makkalalaya.

The programme concluded with snacks and refreshments served to all students, bringing the memorable event to a joyful close.
