The conclusion and certification for the 38th Skill Training batch was held on March 8, 2024. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp to invoke God’s blessings, which was followed by a lamp procession by the pupils. Fr. Siju Thomas, Executive Director of Don Bosco Makkalalaya, presented his opening remarks, speaking on the four C’s of building a successful career: confidence, concentration, commitment, and character. The programme’s Chief Guest was Fr. Devassy, Director of Don Bosco Makkalamane.
In his speech, Fr. Devassy wished all of the women a happy Women’s Day, emphasised the necessity of women being self-sufficient, and encouraged them to never stop studying. Students performed a variety of cultural activities, including dancing and singing. The teams with the most points received awards, and the students gave a gift to DBM as a token of appreciation. A video compilation of the batch’s most memorable moments was screened. Certificates were distributed to all students who finished the course. We also commemorated International Women’s Day with a game for the women staff and a celebration cake cutting by the entire female staff.
The programme concluded with snacks and refreshments for all. The event was a great success, leaving everyone with lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment. Overall, it was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the course and the achievements of all the students.
